Join us this Wednesday!!!
On Wednesday, May 14th, at 6:30 P.M., the Bigelow Free Public Library will present a program by Tara Young, Education Director of the Russian Icon Museum in Clinton. She will present an overview of the history of the museum, and of Russian icons. The Bigelow Library Book Discussion Club will host the program, in preparation for the June meeting, which will be a discussion of great Russian short stories, and will take place at the museum on the first Tuesday in June. Membership in the book club is not necessary to attend the program on May 14. All interested persons are invited!

Book Discussion Club:
The Book Discussion Club meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 7-9 p.m. at the library. Newcomers and listeners are always welcome! Title selections through December 2008 are:
  • May - "The Alchemist", by Paulo Coelho
  • June - "Great Russian Short Stories", by Andreyev, Chekhov, Dostoevsky, and Garshin, published by Dover and Kindle **This month's meeting will be held at the Museum of Russian Icons in Clinton**
  • July & August - No meetings
  • September - Any mystery by Agatha Christie
  • October - "Three Cups of Tea", by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin
  • November - "Prodigal Summer", by Barbara Kingsolver
  • December - "The Wednesday Letters", by Jason Wright
